Book Covers & Magazines

During my three-month internship at Penguin Random House Canada, I provided creative support as a Design Intern and designed a series of book covers and magazine layouts as I developed my skills and experience in the field.

Baking Wild Cookbook Cover

Baking Wild is a self-initiated cookbook cover design featuring bold, energetic desserts. The concept targets those passionate about the culinary arts or baking as a creative hobby, using playful, messy imagery and warm, colorful cursive typography to reflect the wild spirit of the title.

Anger Management Book Cover

This is a cover design for Natalie Anderson's, Anger Management. This book is a guide to controlling anger, mastering emotions, letting go of negative thoughts and behavior, and engaging in positive relationships to live a better life. For the cover design, I used a photo of a used match because fire symbolizes anger and to control anger is to put out the lit match. The text and photo are placed in a clean white background to emphasize the concept of the book.

Super Street Magazine

Super Street is a magazine for car enthusiasts of all ages, celebrating automobiles as a lifestyle. From showcasing sporty new models to vintage classics and rally drivers sharing their passion, the magazine features dynamic layouts and bold colors that create an energetic, engaging reading experience. The cover of the magazine I developed on using a single raw image and using photoshop effects to bringing vibrant colours together.
